13! Don't think I can jinx myself any more for next year than I did for this one, but I sure can try!

Goodbye and Good Riddance 2004: Well, I Wasn't Expecting That.
Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2004? Don't think we've forgotten about you.
My favorite number is actually 13 and really good days happen on Friday the 13th. I'm jealous.
I've never been in the top twenty of a thread before. This makes me unreasonably happy.
My Secret Santa gift just needs to be mailed! I'm so excited about sending it, I keep forgetting I'm getting one, too.
Nota Bene to my Secret Santa: Use the address in the Nilly email (the Indiana one). The LA address will be no good as of next week.
My Santa-ee's gift should be going out tomorrow.
2004 has been a hell of a year for me. Lots of milestones, and lots of happenings. Some stuff I'd rather not live over, but nothing that I can think of that I'd take back.
I can't even shop for my Slacker Seekret Santa gift until the 15th.
This is a warning.
This is kind of been a bad year for me, in that, work has sucked big time - particularly since summer.
I hope that next year is better.

This year broke my heart in many ways, but I saw my parents and most of my siblings for the first time in 10 years and even enjoyed part of the experience. so there's that.
I hope the elections in the Ukraine and Iraq turn out better than ours did. And HOORAY FOR CANADA! and they're High Court backing legal marriage for all, not just the traditional choice.
eta: top 20!
My Year, By Me.
2004 is ending much better than it began, and WAY better than the middle. I started off in a job I wasn't crazy about, and wanted to leave. Over the summer, I decided to start grad school in January. In July, I got "laid off," and moved the grad school plan up. I'm now a broke grad student, and really really liking it. I've made great new friends, while keeping the old (one is silver, the other's gold). There were two weddings in my family -- my cousin to a great guy we're thrilled to have in the family, and my aunts who have been together 25 years, and were finally able to make it official. I didn't go to any funerals in 2004 (knock wood).
The year has not been so great for many of the people I care about, so I'm hoping the new year gives a fresh start for them. For me, I'm just looking for 2005 to continue the good that came in the second half of 2004.
hey, new threading.
So, 2004 is the Spanish Inquisition?
