I've been enjoying an early Christmas present -- DVDs of one of my favorite TV shows -- and thought I'd take a break from rolling around on the floor laughing to share this little gem:
----------
I wonder if I might crave your momentary indulgence in order to discharge a by no means disagreeable obligation which has, over the years, become more or less established practice as we approach the terminal period of the year -- calendar, of course, not financial -- in fact, not to put too fine a point on it, Week Fifty-One -- and submit to you, with all appropriate deference, for your consideration at a convenient juncture, a sincere and sanguine expectation -- indeed confidence -- indeed one might go so far as to say hope -- that the aforementioned period may be, at the end of the day, when all relevant factors have been taken into consideration, susceptible to being deemed to be such as to merit a final verdict of having been by no means unsatisfactory in its overall outcome and, in the final analysis, to give grounds for being judged, on mature reflection, to have been conducive to generating a degree of gratification which will be seen in retrospect to have been significantly higher than the general average.
In other words: "Happy Christmas!"

Goodbye and Good Riddance 2004: Well, I Wasn't Expecting That.
Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2004? Don't think we've forgotten about you.
Yay, MFNlaw! I was hoping it would arrive today. I have no idea when part 2 will arrive, since it is being shipped from elsewhere.
I've never heard of Wrapsacks before
So far that particular wrapsack has had all Buffista travels. I got it from -t last year as part of the secret santa gift.
Where can you see Santa? Only in Lapland!
Hee! Also, Gah, earwormed now.
Deb, Deb, Deb, Deb, Deb, it's here!!!
Do you know I've never tried pesto? It's one of those things I've always meant to get around to. My secret santa sent me a jar of pesto sauce! She read my mind! Oh, but that's not all. She also sent me these adorable little bottles of balsamic vinaigrette and garlic oil, and a tiny jar of stone ground mustard (I LOVE THAT STUFF!), a bag of dried mango, some lovely little non pareils (which Kara has sampled [as have I] and declared them perfect). Some little green frogs for the babies; chocolate coins in holiday foil! A package of chocolate from the netherlands (cunningly wrapped to look like miniature gold bars) and a small irish whiskey cake (I've been told I'm sharing that with Greg)! a dark chocolate filled wafer cookie that looks like sin in a slender package, AND a package of four lovely little tea light candles in gorgeously frosted purple, red, orange and yellow glass holders.
So COOL. I'm all bouncy. THANK YOU! (And the card says more is on the way. Wow.)
Deena, that package sounds scrumptious. Lucky you, having deb pick the stuff, you know it's gonna taste great.
It got there! WOOOOOT!
Deena, bebe, this is the silly package. The big prezzie is on its way. I'm betting Tuesday, but if it shows up? I'm-a happy.
And did you like the card? On, Fluffy!
And of course, I couldn't exactly ask to see your entry in the database....
Mmmm. I love pesto. I bought some at the olive oil place deb took us to when I was out there for NillyFest. Reading Deena's post has made me hungry.
Evil-Ex-SIL that my shit-for-brains brother seems to be getting on with again is making dinner today. She is evil, but a damn good cook. Many Italian treats await us.
I love the card.
I went out for last minute shopping... it took more than a minute.
I forgot to add that there were more pretty tree ornaments in the package too. Kara's considered, but decided these aren't as good for stabbing.
I like a girl that can spot a good weapon.
Laura! THANK YOU for the lovely yarn. I adore the color and the soft and it'll be so fun to knit with.
Thank you so much!
