Goodbye and Good Riddance 2004: Well, I Wasn't Expecting That.
Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2004? Don't think we've forgotten about you.
Hmmmm. Just snoped the phrase, and it comes back with nothing at all. Now I'm curious. But water flooding sounds way more real to me, somehow.
I sent my first of two packages Priority Mail yesterday. Here's hoping.
I think water rising is probably the genesis for it, too. Either the coiner was trying to sound folksy or make a pun, or he learned it from folks.
I could definitely see an uprising in my future. But it's like a birthday wish. If you tell, it won't come true.
Perhaps you can leave the fomenting to Anabel, you know, in her quest for world domination.
She's well on her way, with her impressive crawling abilities and attempts to pull up!
The Creek rising couldn've been a topical joke at the time -- much like "if you don't do blah blah, then the terrorists have won" is today.

I mailed off music to Kate P. and Katefate yesterday. And my signed book to Heather. All went out overnight so they should be arriving today, if the Creek don't rise or the terrorists don't win.
Oh yeah, I was distracted by all the Creek talk -- I finally mailed out the gift to my Santee today. Apologies, blahblahtardycakes.
My gift arrived fro m my secret santa. I just haven't opened it - I had to wait until I sent out my gift to my giftee( I have to make rules - it is a Thing) and I want to open my gift - but when I will be able to admire it.
really, I didn't hit post twice
