Wash: Psychic, though? That sounds like something out of science fiction. Zoe: We live in a space ship, dear. Wash: So?

Goodbye and Good Riddance 2004: Well, I Wasn't Expecting That.

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2004? Don't think we've forgotten about you.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Last night there was a slip in my mailbox telling me that I have a package from Canada. I'm hoping this is my Sekrit Santa present. Anyhow, going to the post office this evening should be a trip. The local post office is almost like a social club, so it's kind of fun to go there.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Oh I know, but everything else I sent at the same time already got there, even stuff that had farther to go.

Also, patience is a four letter word this time of year.

Our wings are not tired.

Oh dear. I sent items FedEx, Priority Mail, and UPS this year. We'll see who wins. I still have to send stuff to New York. I'll pick the carrier in brown for my last moment stuff because he has yet to let me down.

I have received most of the items that I ordered for the kids. I see Amazon picked UPS for the last couple items that are shipping. (Seasons 1-5 of Simpsons! shipped today) So far it has gone well.

Sending fast~delivery~ma to all.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I got prezzies!!! Ginger is the bestest Secret Santa of all, because she made me nummy cookies AND sent me a turtle-shaped back massager (of which one can never have too many) AND extra candy in the box AND a gorgeous (homemade?) fuzzy scarf AND a little turtle charm AND even the box itself is both lovely and useful. (It's a photo box which is now holding Penzey's spices.)

THANK YOU!!!

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I'm glad you like the stuff. The scarf is homemade. It's only the third thing I've ever knitted, so I hope it doesn't up and ravel into its component fuzzy yarn.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Ginger is a great Sekrit Santa.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I just realized I've been a horrible Secret Santee and forgot to mention that I'd be out of town this week. So, anything arriving since this past Saturday, I won't be able to pick it up until next Monday or Tuesday. Sorry 'bout that.

Also, the gift I'm sending will probably be sent out tomorrow, or this afternoon at the earliest, so it'll probably get there a few days after Christmas. Sorry 'bout that, too.

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

To my Secret Santa: I'll be leaving for my parents house tomorrow afternoon. If you're sending it so that it arrives after Christmas, there should be no delay in me posting happy present news. If it arrives on Thursday or Friday, though, I'll have to wait until Monday to pick it up.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

But my 2004 was great because my boyfriend and I decided to get married and maybe possibly move to New York, where there are lots more jobs for people like me.

Oooo! Awesome Ms. Rio!

Wouldn't that put you closer to the Perfect Hairdresser, too?
