Same show, but Spooks is massively cut for the US broadcast as MI-5 (hence the missing 18 minutes).
Which are back on the DVD release, right?
'Potential'
Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2004? Don't think we've forgotten about you.

I've only found S1 at Netflix, but yes. I can't wait. I don't know if Tom will suddenly make sense, but it can't hurt. 18 minutes is a lot. I wish they could have just inflated it to 90 minutes.
t taps impatiently, waiting for Santee recipient to announce delivery
I know! Innit fun?
Connie is me, except I bet she didn't have to count the days on her fingers. D'oh! Stupid learning disability.
I've been thinking about what to say about the past year. I wanted to make sure I got everything in so I wouldn't have to serial post "oh! and then!"
2004 was a really good year for me, it's an upard trend that's been steady for the past 4 yrs, I'm hoping 2005 will rock as well.
The Good: I hooked up with a temporary employment agency and started working for them. My third assignment turned long term and I've just been hired as a company temp instead of an agency temp. There aren't any benefits but they like me! they really like me!

Also I've been told the job will be more challenging once I have access to more stuff. I like my supervisor and one of my co workers and have learned to tolerate the annoying co worker.
I met Buffistas!!!! Totally the highlight of my year! I went to the zoo with many Buffistas including billytea (which was cool). I got to spend tmie with various Buffistas, met Jeeves and Anne introduced me to Live Action Sailor Moon (we really need to screen at least part of this in NOLA).
This summer my shrink told me I only have to see him every 6 mths. I felt like I'd graduated from school. huge milestone there.
My brother's back from NZ and we're getting along. Mom has a new job she loves.
There were some not so good things:
I went back to take a class at community college but I realized I have issues dealing with school so I need to deal with those.
Once again I was a total slacker when it comes to human interactions and keeping in touch with people. I'ma try harder this year.
My G'ma's dementia has gotten steadily worse, but my uncle who'd been slacking on the care taking has stepped up to the plate.
I'm sure there is more stuff but that's the highlight of things.
I've watched some of Season 1 MI-5 on dvd and yes -- it is much much better.
Also -- I mailed my Seekrit Santa (Slacker-style) out today!
My gift-ee should have it on Wednesday. (Possibly as early as Tuesday -- assuming that mail still moves on Sunday.)
secret santa gift went out today - and should arrive before xmas - tuesday or wednesay( I know how long it is suppose to take , but not sure when I should start counting)
2004 has been, for me, the Year of Unpredented Happenings.
It's been the year of Meeting Internet Friends; I've now met four people in real life who were internet friends first (three from lj and most recently the delightful SA).
It's been the year of Not Quite Such A Good Result As I'd Like; a B in a public exam is a first for me, though luckily it came at the half-way stage and next year I'll have a reasonable chance of fixing it and coming out of school with my straight-A record unblemished.
It's been the year of Studying Greeks and Romans At Home; the first part of next year is going to (hopefully) continue this trend.
It's been the year of Applying To University; doing open days and a UCAS form, and making plans to take a gap year and suchlike.
And, of course, it's been (another) year of New Fandoms and New Canon, and Shows Ending, As They Do; Angel, Firefly, Smallville, Stargate, The West Wing, etc. Not to mention the most important event of the year: new Hitchhiker's Guide episodes!
I'm ending the year with a bout of Ramsay Hunt syndrome that has left me with facial paralysis (Bell's Palsy) on the left half of my face.
Oh my god! Megan, I had no idea. How awful for you. I really hope you can make a quick and full recovery.
Deb, I'm way behind in Bitches, so I'm posting this here instead: thank you so much for the beautiful ornaments! They arrived in Friday's mail. I love them! Thank you.
With luck, my gift will be going out tomorrow, priority. I was felled by a nasty stomach bug this weekend, so I wasn't able to do any of the things I needed to do yesterday.
