Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

My F2F-related excitement of the day - I just bought a new digital camera: [link]

The thing is tiny. And shiny.

::pets the pretty camera::

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

What color did you get, Tommy?

Silver. I wanted the orange one, and even the blue one is better than the silver, but I waited too long to buy online so I had to take what I could find locally....

Very shiny, tommy! So thin, I am amazed!

The silver is pretty too.

Yeah. I guess I like the other colors because they're more unusual.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Pete! Your work was commented on nicely by Peter Straub:

He thought it was neat. So do I.

It was unusually warm in SF today. So mind the local weather reports while packing.

Does it get below 55° in May? (If not, I'm thinking short sleeves and shorts will work fine for me except for the swankier evenings.)

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Curse you permanently comfortable, working-internal-thermostat people! Curse you forever!

I am traveling to SF with a cashmere sweater and a leather jacket, and expect to wear both at once at least some of the time.

Sooo not me—I'd be permanently comfortable if I lived north of the 54°40' line. But I break a sweat when it gets above about 70°, which is maybe 9 solid months out of the year in Arkansas and Tennessee.
