I've long thought I would love to explore Sara Crewe's life as an adult, including her falling in love, but I always imagined it as a story *for* children, because there's no way I could write her as *sexual* being.

...I should make it very clear that on HMS Jeeves, taunting Jilli is the kind of stuff that leads to keelhauling. Not just loss of rations or having to clean out the parrot's cage, but serious keelhauling, and being fed to crocodiles that tick. I mean, I realise that it was inadvertent and that it's not happening any more, but I still find myself wanting to commit violence. Apparently Jilli makes me want to drop my cloak on a puddle, slay dragons, and generally do swashbuckling deeds.
Do not mess with the Jilli. Even in jest. IJS. On the good ship Jeeves we're armed with things both sharp and shiny, and we have fabulous clothes. (And no scurvy, because we like lime in our G&T.) Thanks for the reassurance about the F2F. I'm pretty notoriously insecure. Sometimes I'm very gregarious and other times I'm gunshy. I've been told that something about me reads as haughty and intimidating when I'm feeling shy so I'm trying to overcome that.
