I don't think so, DX. However, there's a place called Huey's on Peachtree that makes a beignet that may be as good as the Cafe du Monde's.

Actually, we used to just put a pot of oil on the stove and use a slotted spoon. Though, yeah, a deep fryer would be better.

In theory, but I've never read the instructions so I make Paul use it. Besides, it's his fryer. He bought it for the sake of french fries.
