F2F 3: Who's Bringing the Guacamole?

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

unless you aren't leaving until very late Monday or Tuesday or later, you might want to think about other options.

Hmm, my flight out is at about 5:30 Monday night. I suppose that doesn't qualify as "very late"?

So, who's gonna entertain me on Monday if not the penguins and otters?

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Epic, San Francisco is a superb city to wander around in, and there are plenty of people around, I'm betting. I'll be at the hotel Monday morning, making sure the hospitality suite is properly cleaned up and cleared out, and settling up with the hotel, but if I'm not zonked stone fuckin' DED by afternoon? Wandering my city makes me happy.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

OK, that sounds like a yes....

Oh, she's also going to reserve eight or so spaces, marked for our non-hotel-guest prom-attending use, that Saturday night. It won't be free parking, mind you, but it DOES mean you won't have to wander the Mission at one in the morning in a corset, looking for your car.

I'm thinking that I'll put together a brochure of sorts, with basic info and whatnot, and have Nic run me off a hundred copies or so. I can then either get the front desk to hand everyone one with their room key at checkin, or else put a stack of them in the HS, or both.

Thoughts?

serial:

Can someone link me back to the booze preferences? I'm asking for about half a dozen bottles of dry bubbly, since I know there are at least four of us who prefer prosecco or decent champers to anything else, but I want to make sure everyone's covered.

Our wings are not tired.

I think the booze discussion started here. deborah grabien "F2F 3: Who's Bringing the Guacamole?" Mar 20, 2006 6:07:28 pm PST

We'll see if I did the link right.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Hey, is someone bringing actual guacamole? Someone should.

Who's bringing the guacamole?

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I can't believe you suggested that. I'm hideously allergic to guacamole. Are you secretly trying to kill me?

::cries::

I am providing no guacamole. Violent life-threatening allergy to avocado.

And we can't bring ANYTHING to the prom, anyway. But if someone wants to make guac for the HS, go for it.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Personal booze preferences: vodka -- Grey Goose, but will drink ketel one (Drew's vodka of choice), Jack Daniels, would also love some Three Olives brand cherry vodka (ONLY Three Olives brand cherry, though. Every other one I've had tastes like cough syrup). but, I know that the TO is not a normal bar item.

V, remember that we can also have liquor in the HS. So anything unusual may be better placed upstairs.

Right now I've got Ketel One for basic voda, Bombay Sapphire for gin, Patron for tequila, Starbuck liquor for espresso martinis - what about chocolate martinis? Same thing, or different? Seems to me that Jack Daniels for the bourbon drinkers is likely to be the standard, if not the gold standard.

A selection of beers. I'm going to request an upper-midrange domestic bubbly - maybe a good Gloria Ferrer or a Chandon Brut. I'll check out their French list, as well.

What do you people want for a single malt?
