For the record, anything under about $225 or so will probably save you over what a drive would, factoring in a break at a cheap motel and meals on the way.

I think folks in Chicago or nearer (basically, anywhere within 15 hours of driving time) would probably save by driving.

Yeah, I'd fly over driving. Part of the charm of entertaining the idea of going would be that I'd FINALLY fly somewhere.

I dislike flying, and would rather drive if I had the time. So I'm leaning towards driving to NO in The Comfy Car, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to take enough time off work for that....

JetBlue is running a special right now - $130 RT NO-NYC, and $150 RT NO-Albany. I think it's about to end, but soemthing similar may well crop up closer to May.

New Orleanians would all be totally stoked if we went around telling them we were reenactaing the Great Riot of Spaniards Requesting English Music. The hotel might want an extra deposit or something. For the chairs.

I'm going to be back in NYC to train some folks from Local One and I'm looking for a decent hotel to stay at in Manhattan. Anyone have some recommendations?

I'm thinking I should stay under $200/night.
