I'm going to be back in NYC to train some folks from Local One and I'm looking for a decent hotel to stay at in Manhattan. Anyone have some recommendations?

I'm thinking I should stay under $200/night.

That worked beautifully for me on the Chicago trip. erinaceous has good tips for Priceline strategies as well.

I got a great deal through Orbitz at the Roosevelt Hotel, which is in a great location right by Grand Central: [link]

We were just discussing this today. It is $190ish to fly. It's a 16 hour drive. Stupid long state. Flying is looking better at the moment. I haven't actually made a decision yet.

I actually not as worried about finding a deal as I am about a decent hotel. Local One will be paying for it.

Laura, did you like it?

I picked it because it was in my price range but seemed nice; I'm treating myself.

They were renovating at the time, but it was fine. Convenient for the event we were attending. I don't really remember anything specific because it was a long time ago, but if it was a rotten experience I would likely remember. Sorry for the vague.

I can't even.

ND, what about the Muse hotel? I'm pretty much ignorant about matters NYC but a friend of mine is going to be staying there (for work) soon.
