F2F 3: Who's Bringing the Guacamole?
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: San Francisco, May 19-21, 2006! Everything else, go here! Swag!
It's looking like most of our questions apply to the St. Louis at this point and they are a strong leader. I'd like to get all of those questions answered and then see if that's the hotel we're doing so that we can get this all settled soon.
Timelies! I've been semi-lurking for a while - things got crazy at work and I was out for a while - but I'm back.
May I ask to be included in the ND DC events? And, I don't know if you'd be interested, but I went to this last week and it's interesting. It's accessible by public transit, although it takes some time, and it's free.
About NO--I know a lot of stuff hasn't been decided, but how are people getting from the airport to the hotel? Do we have locals there?
New Orleans has pretty reasonably priced airport shuttles in the event there's no local ride.
There's me.
Even cabs aren't that expensive to the Quarter, especially if you split.
Okay. Was just wondering, particularly about booking flights, whether it would be easier to try and get there when other people do or if I'd be okay getting to the hotel on my own.
When I was there for a conference a few years ago I took a cab from the airport down to the stadium area. I seem to remember it being about a $40-$50 charge.
I also remember being warned about making sure that I had a registered cab as there were quite a few that would rip you off.
