Aw, poor surly Drew. LA sounds like your ideal climate.
Yeah, San Diego is a bit better for me climate-wise, but I like the energy in LA more. Also, this is where there's more work for me.
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: San Francisco, May 19-21, 2006! Everything else, go here! Swag!

I actually find LA has the nice feel to the weather - but that's because it's on the ocean. If it gets too hot when I'm visiting, we head out to Santa Monica, or down to Newport Beach.
SF microclimates are completely nuts. The general saying is, if you don't like the weather, cross the street.
Hee, we say that in Michigan, too!!
This is true...I just said I would...maybe we could do that sometime, flip the dates or something.
It seems to be hot no matter what side of the street I'm on, frankly.
Erika, I still fully believe you should pimp Phoenix. Like Liese and NoiseDesign have said, some people like the heat and actually thrive in it. You never know how many others feel the same way until the votes are in.
Ok, so, I want City Pimpage (tm) by the close of business PST on the 22nd. We will vote from the 26th through the 29th in the evening (It's finals for me, so I can't guarantee a specific time)
City Pimpage (tm) Format(everyone please give feedback on this):
City
(* I will be wicked pissy if you give us a list of all the ammenities of all the hotels in that range and don't say, "more or less any 3 of the following", or something. Don't be pitching us pool and free full breakfast if we won't be able to get both in one place.)
For those just joining the pimping: the rules of the hotel-choosing:
I sent our IFB (what DOES that stand for?) to Seattle's convention bureau this morning and already heard back from them with a few clarifying questions. Knock wood that this is a sign of things to come.
Yeah, I'll check around. What the hell.

Invitation for bids, IIRC.
