Laura, are you around?
When you are, I would love it if you could post the food/drink possibilities on the F2F info page. I can email them to you.
Basically, I need to set the menu with the hotel at this point; given the number of people coming and the minimum amount we need to spend on food/drink ($1500), I'm considering an open bar for three hours (includes all non-alcoholic beverages as well, of course) and then a variety of appetizers. Ultimately, I'll probably just have to make the final decisions myself, but I'd like everyone who is going to be there to have a chance to chime in if they see an appetizer they'd especially like to have.
Funds for the F2F currently sit at $1480.00 before the PayPal fees.
Kristin and I are looking over the figures and seeing where we can cut a few corners. We may be able to shave $100 or $200 off the $2500 that we need to raise.
Have all prospective attendees paid in as yet, or are there a few more that will be contributing before we need to pass the hat and cover the shortfall?
Yes, we've had money accounted for from everyone attending, and actually a good amount of money from folks not attending. I should have a check or two arriving by mail this week as well.
I was afraid of that. Oh well, please let me know when you know what the final shortfall will work out to per person attending.
What's the current count for people attending?
Hopefully, the NO F2F
will
beat out Weremonkeyfest.
Speaking of Weremonkeyfest - I will be driving to it from Chicago in the Comfy Car so if anyone wants a ride, let me know.
Might just take you up on that, Tom.
I updated the page with the cocktail and hors d'oeuvres options per Kristin's info!
Hate to say it, but I think I'm going to have to back out of Commander's on Friday and join the cheaper crowd.
