Can't drink, smoke, diddle my willy. Doesn't leave much to do other than watch you blokes stumble around playing Agatha Christie.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

That last has me doing cartwheels even though it'll be years til I can see it.

Matt, I just decided not to post a long and really boring LJ entry on my reaction to the casting spoilers, in particular the last, because it had digressed into My Long Standing Opinions on the Various Doctors. However, the reaction in short was "Bounce. Bounce. SQUEE!"

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Well, we don't know that TW is a bad director, just an actor who seems to have certain limitations. Maybe he'll turn out to be fab. Or maybe he'll just direct the episode where Lana dies in a freak rollerblading accident. Either way, I'd be all kindsa happy.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If TW was honest about not seeing any slashy subtext, I mourn his lack of nuance-perception.

with a gleam in my eye, and an almost airtight alibi

I don't know where you're getting that from, ita, but Welling and Rosenbaum talked about the homoerotic subtext of "Red" on the DVD commentary.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Well, hopefully his eyes are opening. Or he's better than I'd thought at acting.

Because I've seen him, in interview, deny what Rosenbaum was putting forward.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Dude. Did we know Jewel Staite was going to be on Stargate: Atlantis? Damn. Apparently she's going to play a female wraith, which means that her lovely face will be all covered in prosthesis. Still. Jewel Staite! In one of my shows!
