Is it definitely confirmed that she'll be in episodes after this one, or could this have been an elaborate casting foiler?
She's definitely the new companion, and has been seen filming on location. That character's first "official" appearance will be in the Christmas Special. The rumour was that the new companion is called Clara.
I'm sure Moffat will find a way to tie everything in together, with or without wibbly-wobblyness. I'm just going to sit back and enjoy the ride.

Our current best information indicates that the next companion is a Dalek..well, more or less...or something...
I may, of course, be reading into it, but I can believe it of this show.
Oh yeah.
Although, I read it as him saying that the Daleks are his most favorite Who villain ever - no matter how sick of them everyone else is.
So, Amanda Tapping on Supernatural, playing the angel Naomi for a few episodes.

Gina Torres is going to be be in NBC's Hannibal while continuing to be in Suits. I'm putting it here because I don't know if Hannibal is going to be considered a procedural or not.
