I've got a friend who is going to be really happy that Tom Wopat is going to be on. Apparently, she is one of the people who grew up watching The Dukes of Hazzard. He's playing a childhood friend of Jonathan's.

The Inside's Rachel Nichols will be on Alias next season.
Yay! How cool for her.
Allyson, as a season regular? I ask because I've read that Syd's moving into a mentoring role and there will be two new young recruits that she handles, a male and female. Also, please let her not turn Lauren-style-evil.
No idea, Kat! I adore her, though. Sweetest sweetie.
Well, she certainly fits in with the very, very pretty requirements.
It's in the Superman animated cartoon that Brainiac is just an intelligence.
In the comics DCU, there are multiple generations of Brainiacs, some of which are robots, some of which are apparently AIs that can take over robots (I don't understand that plotline, or the math), and at least one of which has infected a human with an artificial parasite.
That's the one from BoP, right?
Thanks Michele.
And good going Rachel. It will be fun to watch her on that show.
Yes. But rereading, it seems like perhaps the creature in BoP was put there by (a) Brainiac, not that it is (a) Brainiac itself. The fact that they are calling it a virus in the latest issue is not helpful in sorting this through.
Regardless, just think "AI supervillain" when someone says "Brainiac," and you're covered, in some canon or other.
But there was a teenage Brainiac 5 that was in the 30th century Legion of Super Heroes.
That's the one I remember!
