I'm so confuse. I mean, he has to get off, but he did it. And he has to keep working with the CBI, but why would he?
All I can imagine is that he hoodwinks everyone and learns it's not really Red John anyway.
I can take this murder a lot better than the one on CSI, though.

I never had any doubt he wouldn't kill him.
I thought something might happen that would prevent him from killing him. I really hadn't expected a face to face solo confrontation--I'd thought Lisbon would be there, for instance. Or maybe Cho.
Oh, I think that he meant to bring Red John to him and to have him alone. I also think that (obviously) Red John never thought that he would really kill him.

no, but he acquired one several episodes back and decided to keep it.

Beaver wasn't a regular this year and appeared in as many episodes as Misha did, but it doesn't bode well.
Huh. That maybe answers my question in the SPN thread. Woe.
I'd be happy to see Cas in 1/3rd of the episodes if he's used well.
