You two carried me through that war. Now I need you to carry me just a little bit further. If you can.

EC? Now, that would be cool.

Art Crawl!!!

Wouldn't it?

Whose backstory would I most want to see her in? . . . . .hmmmmm

Hurley's. I'd love to see her as a gold digger whose plans to bilk Hurley of lots of dough goes seriously south due to his "bad luck."

And it could involve bunnies.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

For some reason, I'd really like to see her in Kate's back story.

in Kate's back story.

Huh. I gotta think about that a little. I got the feeling from what we've seen of Kate on the island, she's not much with making friends with other females. She doesn't find them as useful to her as men, so she doesn't cultivate them. If EC was in her backstory it would have to be as a patsy, IMO. Although, it would be nice if by putting her in Kate's backstory it could show us a different side of Kate than we've seen.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Sail, I sort of get the same feeling you get from Kate. On the other hand, though, we've seen her and Sun interacting as friends, and she did mention (in the second half of the pilot) that she has a friend named Beth (IIRC) who loves Driveshaft, so it wouldn't be out of character to see her with female friends in her past.

I want Emma Caulfield to be Locke's Helen, myself, but I suppose she wouldn't get much screen time...

edited because Emma Caulfield and Anya are, in fact, two separate entities.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Kate strikes me as playing everything close to her chest. Her interactions with Jack and Sawyer strikes me as channelling the impulse to get them close to her chest. Of just about everyone, I think her pre-crash personality is least apparent.

EC could be ... sister/friend/lover/enemy/so many things.

Not just that, but that she doesn't open up easily to anyone, anymore than Sawyer does. I think that game of "I never" was very telling for both of them. It's why we haven't really seen any evidence of female friends other than a brief mention of a female someone in her backstory.

we've seen her and Sun interacting as friends

You can be friendly to someone without being their friend. Not saying she isn't becoming friends with Sun, but that we don't have any real evidence of a friendship there, yet.
