Oh, it's been coming for ages! RTD said months ago that he knew when DT was leaving, and it made sense for it to be in the changeover year .
The only thing that bothers me now is the endless months of pointless speculation until they announce the New Doctor. .
But seriously - shouldn't we be able to discuss this in Boxed Set? I don's see how anybody is going to be able to avoid the news.

The awesomest idea I've heard regarding that news is the idea Warren Ellis had (although maybe it didn't originate with him) of recasting Idris Elba in the role. DOCTOR STRINGER BELL!!!!
