I think you're thinking of Village of the Damned, which had many kids, all exactly the same age and platinum blonde, doing the hivemind thing and destroying their parents as the vanguard of an alien invasion.

Ah, yes - that's the one I was remembering. I don't think I've ever seen Children of the Corn.
