They're completely re-jiggering the US series - they've recast entirely except for the lead and they've moved the show from LA to NYC. I'm thinking that with the different Gene Hunt they may be going for a
an early 70s cop movie, Mean Streets, Serpico
kind of thing.
Wizard's First Rule - they've changed the name and added cast members. The new name is "Legend of the Seeker" and they've cast
Bruce Spence as Zedd, Jay Laga'aia as Chase, a loyal and fearsome member of the Councilor's Guard; and Craig Parker (Haldir from LotR) as Darken Rahl.

Although, I still think that having the show set in NYC or LA is a mistake. It should be in Detroit or Cleveland or some other depressed rustbelt city.
GA casting:
Kevin McKidd
!!! Excellent.
Also
Mariette Hartley, Bernadette Peters and Kathy Baker.
Seriously? That's almost too much awesomeness for one show.
Yes! Although it may not all be at once. YOu know?
Heroes - some episode titles for season 3:
301 22 Sep 08 (Volume Three: Villains) The Butterfly Effect
302 22 Sep 08 Dreamtime
303 29 Sep 08 One of Us, One of Them
304 6 Oct 08 The Year of Our Lord
Torchwood - read over at TWOP that they're having to rewrite the whole mini because an actor pulled out and the actor that pulled out is supposedly
Freema Agyeman. I wasn't certain that she was going to be a TW person. (This could be rectified once I watch the rest of Who season 4, I suppose.)
Oh, geez, Fiona, I had forgotten about that first casting. Huh. Now I'm kind of sad.
Re Torchwood: that would make sense. There's been a lot of talk about other projects that person has been doing. Not surprising there's no time for TW.
It's a shame though, because it was
set up so nicely on the last Who.
