And you guys are proving my point, why would Heigl submit her name for emmy consideration when her storyline was ridiculous? She did the right thing.
Spoilage Lite - The Return
[NAFDA] The place for casting and other vague spoilers, for those who merely want to wade, not drown, in the spoiler sea. Episode titles, writers, and preview speculation in black font. Exiting cast, TV Guide and other entertainment articles and their discussion white-fonted. Hard core spoilers are not allowed.
I'm not against her - I'm against her character - I think Heigl would be better served moving on to other things.
Got it.
I'm with sumi, but I think Heigl's statement about the Emmy could have been better thought out. I think she should have just let it ride to see if she would have received a nom. I think it wasn't at all likely.
From what I understand, an actor (or their PR people) submit themselves. She had to make the decision whether to submit herself for consideration. She looked at what she had done in the last year and decided not to based on the fact that it simply wasn't good enough. So, there is no waiting around to see if she if she would be nominated without any effort on her part. I think she made the absolutely correct decision and I think her factual, blunt answer to why she didn't submit her name for consideration has been misconstrued. I applaud her bluntness and respect her more for it.
le nubian - re: Heroes casting: that character already has a name. I saw it on the IMDB plus the actor was in the "unaired pilot" with a character . .. with a name.
Damages: Mario Peebles will be recurring on the second season of the show.
Saving Grace - casting: Futon Critic says that Christina Ricci will be doing a mini-arc on the show. (More about the character and number of episodes at the link.)
SCC casting: Garrett Dillahunt will be a regular.
sumi, gotcha. glad the character has a name...
Heroes: Kristen Bell is doing an arc starting in September!
