Maybe the current actress couldn't get away from Women's Murder Club to get away to do the film. We need to finish up our watching of Dead Like Me before this comes out. Also, it took me way too long to realized that the actress who played Dolores Herbig is the same actress that plays the DMV lady on Reaper.
