From all the attitude New England is giving the South lately, his accent could be genuine and explain why he's so pissed off all the time. Can't be easy to be known as "Professor Hillbilly" at Harvard or MIT these days.

Woo hoo!
I'm glad the thread is back. Even though I did not vote this time.
"Confidence Man"? Do we know who wrote it?
I haven't really been paying attention to the writers, other than Fury. Have we had any repeat writers yet? Or have all the episodes been done by different pens so far?
Have we had any repeat writers yet?
Damon Lindelof co-wrote the pilot with Abrams, as welll as writing the Kate-centric ep. No. 3, "Tabula Rasa".
And Fury wrote the episode after "Confidence Man", which is supposed to be Sayid-centric.
I have to say, the writing in the last episode felt noticeably weaker to me compared to what came before. I mean, the one before that at least had some excellent one-liners by Charlie.
Has the New Drew written anything yet? And Petrie must be available now that Tru Calling has been cancelled, right?

Woohoo!!!!!
Of course I'm behind on all my tv so I'll see y'all when I catch up a bit.
Chat transcript with Kristen Bell (from Veronica Mars) at E!Online: [link]
Some of the questions are typically inane, ("Kristen, you are a wonderful actress! You're another Jennifer Garner and Sarah Michelle Gellar, and I think that you deserve a Emmy nomination! How does that make you feel?" ::rolls eys::) but Bell sounds laid back and gracious. Vague hint-ish type things for future development within, and no outright plot spoilers that I can see.
Also, it says Alias is moving to 9 pm Wednesday, to follow the lead-in by Lost. I'm kinda sorta watching Jack and Bobby at that time, damnit. Annoyance.
Lost and Alias back-to-back would be awesome. It's a shame they re-used Kendall/Locke (and Weiss/Pilot), or they could have tried a cross-over stunt.
Hey - Steven DeKnight wrote tonight's Smallville !!
Casting spoiler for Lost that I stumbled upon while looking up Faux!EC:
Emilie de Ravin (Claire) is listed as a guest star on imdb for all the eps in which she appears. Since she is shown in the credits onscreen as one of the regulars, I don't know whether this is intentional misleading or not, but knowing JJ, I wouldn't be surprised if it's a setup for her being killed off.
