"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

take it to Lightbulbs right away, leaving this thread free for spoilers in the meantime.

I see the black print. I no understand what this says.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'm thinking that the ultimate solution may be simply having a Spoilers Lite thread again. There seems to be some desire for that, and that could be whitefonted. But I do think the people who want to dip their toe into a casting spoiler or two, or tiptoe through the whitefont, have a fundamentally different approach to spoilers than people who are full-spoiler sluts.

I'd be good with that, too.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Adding my me too, I have no strong feelings one way or the other about whitefont. I do like the idea of a show specific spoiler thread. Um, for Lost. Currently, Lost is pretty much the only show I'm interested in spoilers for. That said, I'm not following the other shows that seem to be mentioned here, so I don't really mind skimming through those posts.

What is even happening?

t font="whispered voice-over"

Let us observe the Buffistas, as they approach a new, and difficult decision making model.

For reference, we have divided our subjects into two groups: spoiler, shall we say, hos; and the spoiler curious. The goal of the spoiler hos is to rid themselves of the fetters of white font. The spoiler curious are attempting to retain some semblance of being unspoiled.

For either group to accomplish their ends, in any permanent way, at least one must attempt to scale the bureaucracy/proposal/discussion/voting hurdle.

Which, if any, will rise to the challenge? It is too soon to tell. Stay tuned for the next episode of, When Bureaucracy Attacks--here, on FOX.

This experiment is being conducted on a closed-course, under professional supervision, at optimum conditions. Please do not try this on USENET.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

LeN, I was just trying to suggest that making policy decisions in the policy threads instead of in here might be less of a headache because once a proposal is made, discussed, and voted on, it's over in a week. (As opposed to the consensus method, which can drag things on for-fucking-ever.)

Up with the sun

I'd rather this was Non-Sluts Beware forewarned zone, rather than a pick and choose whitefont-everywhere zone.

Me too.

I see spoiler space as a workable compromise, and it's what I was trying to suggest upthread. Scrolling bugs me much less than whitefont does.

Well.... it sounds like, over in BBaBB our resident coding geniuses, including our beloved weremonkey, are working on the possibility of allowing us to pick and choose which threads we see (or, I guess, not see) spoiler font in. That would allows hos to not have to deal with white font here, while the merely curious would still have to highlight spoiler font to read it.

Don't know if they'll be successful, but it sounds like that's what they're trying to do.

It also sounds like they're working on making spoiler font truly transparent, and not just white.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Unless Gus is working on his own, that hasn't been started yet. Changes are being made to make the coding easier, but no coding has officially begun.
