Here's one: It's completely unsuited to a forum. Spoiler space worked okay for mailing lists and usenet, where you were looking at one message at a time and could hit next or delete or whatever to skip the message entirely. When you're scrolling through a page of successive messages, it simply doesn't work -- you're going to see the stuff anyway, and in the mean time, you make the page longer to scroll and harder to read.

I don't think you need a rational reason. It either works or irks. In this case, it irks.

If I had my own way, it would be a free-for-all in here, but I don't watch much TV anymore, and never have been bothered much by spoilers. Chiming in to say I'd prefer no white-font as well, but will live with it if necessary. Not sure how we handle the decision, though. Would it need to be an official vote, or an in-thread show of hands (aka bullshit consensus)?

Temporarily. The idea that some people want to be spoiled for one show and not another will still be valid.
If this is not to be a thread for them (us), then so be it. It's not something I think should be consensed on, though.

If the consensus seems to be leaning towards changing anything, I think we do need to take it to B'cy so that people don't click on this thread expecting nice safe whitefont and end up getting unwantedly spoiled.
As much as it pains me, the simplest solution might be to just officially propose a no-whitefont policy, and take it to Lightbulbs right away, leaving this thread free for spoilers in the meantime.
