"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

What Liese said. Also, if 24 includes working with old friends, I can see the appeal a lot more.

Speaking selfishly, I watch Lost, 24, and will watch The Inside, so... I win! Well, OK, Fury wins. But I benefit. He gave me the best of one show so far, and now he'll be on two shows I watch instead of just one. Yay for me. And I'm assuming a positive draw for the move, so yay for him. Thus ends my speculation, which really isn't.

So, I'm sort of hoping Boone buys it tonight, but I don't think he will. Although, I think I liked him as much as I have all season in last week's ep, though I can't remember why, exactly.

[insert something funny here]

I will admit I am positively Squeeing with glee at the idea of Fury being involved with 24's Fifth Season.

Punishingly Intricate

I have never watched 24 because I didn't catch the first season and didn't think I could really get into it after that. And have been too lazy to get the DVDs. I've been thinking I should start watching for no other reason than to support Mary Lynn Rajskub who I knew back when I lived in SF. And now with Fury there...I may have to catch up over the summer.

Am also sad he'll be gone from Lost. And very excited he'll be involved with the Inside!

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Fury spins a great story, and really understands how the audience loves to follow pebbles through the woods.

Also, he and Tim are like peanut butter and jelly, methinks.

It's just going to work out really well for all involved. Well, except Lost. But then, I'm still convinced no one knows what LOSTzilla is or even remembers that LOSTzilla exists.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

But then, I'm still convinced no one knows what LOSTzilla is or even remembers that LOSTzilla exists.

I think someone knows what it is. I just think it's going to be really lame.

lisah, 24 starts a new story each season, so the start of next season will be as good a place as any.

Sometimes characters pop in from prior seasons unexpectedly, but they are pretty good about slipping in the back story without being contrived about it (one of their strengths, actually); with a few glaring exceptions like CTU!Spawn.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

My money's on Monsters From The Id.

Well...I'd say they're pretty good at slipping in exposition while being completely contrived about it, but in an entertaining enough way that the audience rolls our eyes and accepts it. Shamelessly shoehorned exposition is part of the show's charm.

Man, after what everyone says the radio message was that Boone heard, I have this horrible feeling we're going to get a JACOB'S LADDER revelation here, where the people who died in the crash/on the island were the ones ready to go on.

If Danny Aiello shows up as a chiropractor, run.
