I look more rad than Lutheranism

Who did the Dawson's Creek recaps? Wing Chun? I used to read them long after I stopped watching the show.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

hee, Vonnie, I totally remember that part of "The replacement" recap.

My heart is large with love for Miss Alli, but I think she only does reality TV. I watched "Married By America" to keep up with her recaps of that show.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hee, Steph. I never did watch the show, but I totally read those recaps. That was back in the day of Too Much Time On My Hands.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

That was back in the day of Too Much Time On My Hands.

Ack. Totally earwormed for a song I haven't even THOUGHT of in years. Styx, I think it was. Blech!

Just thought I would share the pain.

When I told my parents the last day of class was today, their obvious reaction was, "Well, then you can fly home on the fifteenth!" But I didn't want to miss Lost, so I convinced them to let me fly home on the sixteenth, knowing my brother would tape The O.C. for me. Thank God I did, because when we booked that ticket, I hadn't known my test in cardio pharm was a take-home. Which I got four hours ago.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I never read any of Jessica's recaps, so Shack, Aaron, and Miss Ali have been my favorite recappers. I stopped reading Strega's Angel recaps to avoid influencing my own, but we have very similar critical takes on the show (just with 33% less Wesley hate in my case).

Demian is probably the most likely candidate for the slot since he's been following the show all along, but I think I best enjoy the bitterness of his recaps when leveled at shows that are badly done. I don't ever feel defensive about slams against Alyssa Milano, y'know?

Dan Kwa started off strong, but I think like SNL writers he has no sense of when his own jokes stop being funny. And so they do, with increasing frequency.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

So. I rewatched today while I was dumping it off from the Tivo's hard drive to the DVD recorder's hard drive.

I remember that I wanted to comment on Locke rejecting Michael -- remember, Michael was the one who got busted up on Locke's first boar hunt. Definitely a dynamic there. Out of the remaining characters, I think his is the backstory I'm most curious about. Think it'll be redeeming? That there was a really good reason why he was a bad absentee dad?

At what point did Locke lose the track? Was it geographically near enough the mysterious metal object to have that be more building than vault? Locke had heard Sayid's "We're not alone" but Boone probably hadn't yet, eh? This island needs some Fair Information Dissemination system.

All is well that ends in pizza.

That there was a really good reason why he was a bad absentee dad?

My theory is that when he met Walt's mom, he was an artist, and after the baby was born, she decided he was too unreliable and irresponsible and left with the baby to Australia. There eventually she met a man who she felt was a more stable provider. Meanwhile, Michael decided he wanted to win her back and started doing construction work to provide a more stable economic base for her to see he was responsible. When she and her husband were killed in an accident, Michael took over trying to be Walt's father, but they really don't know each other well....

At least that's what my fanfic would show, based upon scant clues in the show. If I were able to focus and write it.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Nah, my take on Michael is that he was a CB in the Navy. Met her while he was deployed to Australia. Got her pregnant and then had to leave to go back to Gulfport, MS. She decided not to wait for him to get out of the Navy and married some other guy who could be there for her.
