Simon: I swear when it's appropriate. Kaylee: Simon, the whole point of swearing is that it ain't appropriate.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Gus,

okay, I'll bite. Why does the notion that they may be in purgatory or something make you react so negatively? I'm ambivalent about it all, but so as long as there aren't dinosaurs, I'm happy.

The Twilight Zone thing. You have it scoped in the first act break/few episodes, then they toss it your in your face, all "Tomato Surprise!"?

Abrams has more skills than that.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Since Desperate Housewives has a full season commitment, maybe they can move Alias to Wednesdays following Lost....

I found a reference last night that says because the pilot started at night, the first hour only covered one day. Hmmm...

The pilot ...

Nevermind.

(who was referred to on the TWOP boards as a redneck) is a) reading a novel and b) willing to be seen reading a novel with a bunny rabbit on the cover. If he knew what kind of book...

See? This is starkest tinfoil-hat thinking. This is "Ooh, There is an eye over the pyramid, let's make a movie!" thinking, at it its finest.

I get a kick out of finding other Lost discussions, and looking for the post-episode reactions.

From Comic Book Resource:

WHEW! MAN! I never, ever, not in a million years would have seen THAT coming! Man! That was just GREAT! Lost has been such a great series so far! This episode was definitly the best! The whole reveal about Locke (him being in a wheelchair) was just stunning! A miracle indeed! Wow!

Sounds so familiar... hee.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I sure hope the writers don't go the route of the "magical Negro" like King did.

I think there are elements of it with Walt, but the same could be said for other people. I think there are also elements of the "magical cripple" with Locke, with the twist that what makes him magical makes him not a cripple.

Just to refresh my memory of the spoiler rules, can the aired previews be discussed here, without whitefonting, or not?
