I go online sometimes, but everyone's spelling is really bad. It's... depressing.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

First problem - if Sawyer's supposed to be nekkid, why's he clearly wearing pants? Faulty camera work?

I thought he put some pants on when he came out of the water.

I thought he put some pants on when he came out of the water.

Don't remember him bending down to get pants. Did he have them in the water with him? I'm going to have to rewatch the nekkid scene.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm going to have to rewatch the nekkid scene.

I'll do it for you, if you want.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Don't remember him bending down to get pants.

I do. t /predictable

(Seriously, though, when he walked out of the water, he was naked. While he was talking to Kate, he reached down and pulled his pants on. Pity.)

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Been thinking about the power dynamics of this little island society some more, and wow, in the course of the episode, the Cave community totally cut of the arm of the Beach community, wacked it on the head with the severed arm, then stole all its toys. The de facto leader of the Beach community? Gone in a spirit quest born out of a crisis of conscience. The sunny optimistic Earth Mother figure? Seduced away to the caves by blinvisible peanut butter-wielding charms of Charlie. Snicker Bitch and Eyebrow Boy? Moved to the caves for medical purposes and likely to stay. Plus, Walt and Michael had moved there during the last episode already. That pretty much leaves Sawyer and Kate (and a bunch of dialog-deprived extras) on the beach, and that's it.

Also, note that there were some machinations going around for this to come around, especially by Locke. He worked to bolster the confidence of Jack as the leader of the new community--the CAVE community, which was all about staying on the island and making the best of it. He helped Charlie with his addiction, making him a contributing (*and* recruiting) member. He befriended Walt, who brought his father over. And for the Beach faction, he whispered insinuating seeds of discord into Sayid's ear, ultimately leading him to abandon his role of strength. He tried to eliminate Sawyer, who was always going to be a trouble-maker in the budding island society. Like, the dude has been *busy*, y'all. I mean, he's all helpful and constructive and stuff, but he's also totally underhanded and serving his own agenda. I LOVE THIS GUY.

All is well that ends in pizza.

When I rewatched last night, he bent down and slid them on while talking to Kate.

After he said "..warm me up." and as she was saying "You sure know how to make a girl feel special, Sawyer"

Thrive to spite them

When Sawyer walked out of the ocean he was tan but you could see a white stripe along his hips. I assumed that was his bare naked skin where his tan line ended.

The picture tha Wolfram linked to was Kate leaving, so Sawyer had already put on his pants then.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

My beau was watching with me and he actually wanted Jack and Sayid to kill Sawyer.

I'm right there with him. If we put all the angsty woobification aside, Sawyer has grave issues that resulted in him misleading everyone during a crisis and getting the island's only doctor embroiled in his little martyrdom psychodrama rather than actually concentrating on helping the person in desperate need of medical attention. If this is a pattern, he's going to quickly become a liability to other people's survival on the island rather than an asset. For practical reasons only tangental to the guy's sheer assholishness, Sayid would have done better to slit his throat than let him go.

While Shannon has been similarly annoying prior to this episode, she's actually been helpful rather than counterproductive whenever push came to shove.

I meant to say it's not what he thinks he deserves because he's as bad as actualSawyer but because he is actualSawyer therefore the torture is happening to actualSawyer through him.

I'm with Heather in that he's now reading more as "Who Are You?"-era Faith than Spike.
