Kaylee: Captain seem a little funny to you at breakfast this morning? Wash: Come on, Kaylee. We all know I'm the funny one.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I'm with Heather in that he's now reading more as "Who Are You?"-era Faith than Spike.

(psst, Matt, that was me)

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I am with Vonnie about Locke, and I am with Matt about Sawyer.

Locke has a serious agenda for keeping folk on the island. I wonder if the monster hypnotized him or something? He didn't seem to have this much willpower on his own, back in the cubicle days.

With Sawyer's love of stirring up trouble amongst folk so he can get his masochism off, he's a liability. I'd tie him to a tree (more securely this time thanks, weren't any of you people Boy Scouts?) and torture him until he loves me again got over it.

Guy #1: Man, there are so many hipsters around. I hate hipsters! Guy #2: You're at the wrong place. That's like going to Vegas only to say "I hate titties!" --The Warsaw, Williamsburg (OINY)

I couldn't help laughing when Sawyer told Kate to read the letter out loud.

The BF and I said in unison, "And share it with the rest of the class."

All is well that ends in pizza.

I can fanwank the reading of the Dread Pirate Sawyer's letter to be "DPS always wanted to let someone read it. Having her say it out loud was a way to make sure she actually read it, because he's become a cynical soul."

That's my fanwank, open to modification.

I don't need any fanwanking (just typed "fankwaning") because the immediacy and dramatic value of Kate's having to read it (and hence deal with it) out loud was so awesome.

Can someone explain the time-delay fuse thing so that it makes sense? I still can't wrap my head around it.

If I only had a brain...

You light a cigarette. Put it on the ground next to whatever you want to catch fire. When the burning end of the cigarette reaches the thing that's supposed to catch fire, things happen.

Assuming the cigarette doesn't go out from not being smoked, that is.

Apparently unfiltered not-packed-down cigarettes work better for this, as the tobacco is loose enough to allow air to get at the ember.

I got that part. I meant how Sawyer could have rigged a time delay to set off his bottle rocket right after Sayid's rocket went off.

We'll probably get a nicotine withdrawl-y Dread Pirate Sawyer ep at some point...
