Well, you'd better not be thinking what I think you're thinking, because my answer is the same as always — no threesomes unless it's boy-boy-girl. Or Charlize Theron.

Punishingly Intricate

One thing that I finally noticed is that we haven't yet had anyone say anything along the lines of "poor Mom/girlfriend/father of my baby/older brother--I bet they've heard about the crash by now and are worried sick/think I'm dead, etc." That strikes me as very, very odd for some reason.

Oh my yes. That's been bugging me too. The first thing I thought when I saw the pilot was that if the same thing happened to me, after being relieved that I was still alive (as far as i know), I would be in hysterics about my Mom thinking I was dead.

Thrive to spite them

I've wanted to see Sawyer's background from the beginning. He's intriguing. The backstory doesn't have to be OMGWTF!!! but I hope it's really solid and instead of being cliche-y. I like Sawyer, he's a jerk but right now I can think he's a complex jerk.

Charlie's story was okay, although I agree that he went too quickly from "you're a junkie ruining the band!" to trying it out. Somehow, the way Charlie acted on the island, I was thinking Driveshaft was a new band, but maybe not one that's at the top of the charts, so Driveshaft being just a teeny bit HCL-ish.

I'm with the people who think that Sawyer accidentally on purpose told Kate about Jack. I think he was going to tell Kate about Jack when he first met up with her and Sayid, but then she smacked him down so hard he decided not to in a spiteful way.

Have to admit I got bored toward the end with the moth thing so I flipped to the end of Smallville, and I missed most of it except the drug burning. I figured before the episode even really got going that Charlie was going to decide he didn't need his drugs.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Hydrochloric acid-ish?

I'm with the people who think that Sawyer accidentally on purpose told Kate about Jack.

I didn't even think it was ambiguous. Sawyer knew Jack wasn't actually dead, and he deliberately spoke of him as if he were to get Kate's attention.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

P-C, HCL in this context refers to Hard Core Logo, a rather intense (and rather slashy) Canadian mock-documentary about a self-destructing punk band starring Callum Keith Rennie and Hugh Dillon.

HCL = Hard Core Logo, a mockumentary about a Canadian punk band Hard Core Logo. The lead singer, Joe Dick (who is aptly self named) wants to get the band back together and tries to get the guitar player (and his best friend) Billy Tallent. Billy and Joe have a love hate relationship that is incredibly slashy.

Anyway the down on their luck and trying to make a comeback part reminded me of that.

And yea, I think the way Sawyer told Kate about the cave in was kind of spiteful payback for the way she treated him.

Hey, so that's where the current band Billy Tallent got their name from.

That would probably be it.

Also Joe Dick is played by Hugh Dillon who was part of The Headstones, but then he left, and now he has another band the Hugh Dillon something Choir. Hugh also does some acting.

Billy Tallent is played by Callum Keith Rennie, who has the BBOC factor with EVERYONE. He's been on a long list of films and guest starring apperances on lots of tv shows that are shot in Canada.

Big Block of Concrete? Oh wait, that actually is it, isn't it. It's in the FAQ!

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

a rather intense (and rather slashy)

Dude. Rather slashy? It makes Smallville look like 7th Heaven.

It's been a while since I saw the movie, but wasn't there, like, a kiss? Plus there was this scene in which Billy slowly licks the blood off a wicked-ass knife... whoa Nelly.

Despite my grumblings, I actually like Kate's character. I just don't care much for Kate pining after Jack, is all.

My fave character on the island, hands down, is Locke. The rest of the gang would have to get a hella interesting back story to dethrone Locke from the position.
