Well, we may not have parted on the best of terms. I realize certain words were exchanged. Also, certain... bullets. But that's air through the engine. It's past. We're business people.

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

Kate wants Jack-lovin'.

Well, yeah. "You checkin' me out?" is a message even I might pick up on. I guess my curiosity is around whether she is convolving his position on cave life with his inability to sense the anvil over his head, or not. It seemed a bit petulant, to me.

I find it interesting how the actress playing Sun looks younger in flashbacks to the beginning of the relationship.

Makeup versus none, and a softer focus, but, yeah, it really did work.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Longer, straighter hair helps give a youthful look, too.

Ageing and de-ageing Hollywood makeup is pretty standard stuff. Most makeup school graduates can make anybody look ten years younger or older with ease. More than that and it gets a little tougher.

For precisely the reason that just about any given movie or TV show can require a flashback like that.

Generally? I've seen so many times where it didn't work as well as it did on Lost.

In this case, where it was only 4 years, it was particularly easy.

Well, the really good jobs? You never noticed. The bad jobs will always be noticed and remembered. That's the curse of makeup.

In the last 24 hours, cleo's link to "lampshade hanging" on the wiki has generated over ten thousand hits from her recap. We are witnessing the birth of a fan-star.

Wait, so she linked to the wiki you started? That is cool, too. Ten thousand hits from her journal entry? Duuuuuuude. You should leave her a comment. Or maybe she already knows she's soooooper popular. I looked at her page after I read the recap. Seems like she's writing a book with a "here's MovieX in fifteen minutes" framework. Which, though I wish her well, I sincerely hope does not interfere with the Lost recaps. Priorities, people. IJS.

Daniel, I thought exactly the same thing when I was watching. She looks measurably younger in the first flashback, and I think her acting of it was really quite amazing. Good performance and well done filming/make-up. Go them.

I did leave her a comment (weremonkeyman is my LJ handle). She is quite humble about her massive fame on the interbunny.

I would totally buy a "here's MovieX in fifteen minutes" book from cleo, as long as she never misses a Lost recap. You listening, cleo? No Lost recaps, no best seller.

Gawd, interbunny fans are vicious.

After I posted, I thought, "He probably did." Look! I'm clairvoyant. (I'm going to have to look that up for spelling before I hit post; I so got it right). She seemed like she'd be the pleasantly humble and also kind of amused by it all type. Makes me like her stuff even more. Right there with you on the book yes/recaps yes thing. MmmHmmm.

I'm confused about Jack's "What made you this way, Kate?" question, because, well, I dont' know what he means by that. What way is she?

Willfull.

Actually, he probably meant distrusting, but it did kind of came across as "willfull."
