Wash: Psychic, though? That sounds like something out of science fiction. Zoe: We live in a space ship, dear. Wash: So?

What way is she?

Willfull.

Actually, he probably meant distrusting, but it did kind of came across as "willfull."

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

I'm confused about Jack's "What made you this way, Kate?" question, because, well, I dont' know what he means by that. What way is she?

t taps foot, waiting for P-C to make this transparent with a pithy P-C-ism

Yes, this. Jack is talking about beach versus cave, and wondering about her reticence. I think maybe Kate is thinking in terms of boy versus girl issues, and wondering about his obliviousness.

I think that my having missed the Kate episode is the problem. I didn't see her as particularly willful or distrusting (moreso than anyone on the island) ... just, not so much wanting to what he wanted her to do. So, I would get that he'd be annoyed by that maybe, but I didn't see putting it off on her as warranted. The moment just played weirdly to me.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Hurley pissed me off this ep. First, still calling Jin "the Chinese guy" and then playing his discman while Charlie was playing guitar. Rude! I wonder when will get his story.

On rewatch, Charlie is not performing with his guitar, he's sort of touching it and tuning it, and strumming it and generally cooing over it. It's not like Hurley is ignoring Charlie serenading the gathering throng.

I get immeasurably annoyed with Hurley every time he puts on the fucking discman. Don't they need batteries for the transceiver?

Doofus, get your head out of your ass and start thinking about resources.

Oh, interesting (I hit post before I read this). So, basically, she's pissed at him, and he doesn't get why? Hmm. Interesting.

All is well that ends in pizza.

No, I don't think he meant wilfull. I think he digs a strong Kate. (I know I do...heh)

Jen, Do you have broadband? I suggest downloading her ep... heh

I'd suggest downloading any unseen ep, tho.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

You really think the transceiver runs on AAs? Back off my Hurley, man! You're allowed to knock him for the second "Chinese" comment, though.

Sometimes, a guy just needs some music.

I do, and I've even sort of looked into it for other shows, but I haven't yet downloaded anything. Maybe I will just go ahead and bite the bullet for this one. I'm just a stranger in a strange land technology wise sometimes. And I have strange irrational fears that I'll break my computer. It's kind of sad, really.

Right. I didn't get it either, at first. Thus the "petulant" thing. I'm going with she is feeling scorned on the animal-magnetism frontier, and he is stumbling around in the male fog of "What do we do about all these responsibilities?"
