"Are you thinkin' of that reed as a woman's nipple?"
"What are you doing here?"
"Well, the line was so long, I thought you were sellin' drugs."
(Fun trivia learned from the special edition DVD--highly recommended, btw: the boy who tries to get inside the Rabbitt house to audition while Jimmy is taking a bath but refuses to sing in the street is actually the boy who is on the cover of U-2's album "War".)
Oh, and how could I forget?
"What are your influences?"
You mean Gavin from the Virgin Prunes younger brother?
It's actually Guggi's younger brother, Peter Rowan on the cover of Boy and War.

That's right! I'd forgotten which Virgin Prunes' brother he was.
Was Guggi also the one that named Bono, Bono? Or was that Gavin?
I think it was Guggi... Or Bono named Guggi...

Meaney and Bernard Hill play fiddler brothers
Meep! They could play kazoo-playing brothers, and I'd still go see this.
Also, Natalie (the dark haired Commitmentette - and I think I just broke fingers typing that) was in Hothouse Flowers, which Jimmy is asked for early on, when he's selling tapes. I seem to recall also that Natalie mentions them later in the film, but I can't remember when or why offhand.
