Hey, I've been in a firefight before! Well, I was in a fire. Actually, I was fired from a fry-cook opportunity. I can handle myself.

Always Anti-fascist!

I love that guy! Wasn't he Jimmy's da in the Committments (Which marries a few of my passions...urban strife and soul.)

Our wings are not tired.

That's incredibly sad, and scary, Connie.

Particularly since she actively tried to do something about it. Damn.

Apart from sports, "my secret favorite thing on earth is ketchup. I will put ketchup on anything. But it has to be Heinz." - my husband, Michael Vartan

Exactly, Laura.

Is Andrea Corr one of the violin-playing members of The Corrs? Or no? Just similar names?

Yes, and yes. The Commitments was actually her first movie, IIRC, and in the article, Meaney talks about how she has grown as an actress since they were in that movie together.

I loved him as the Elvis-loving James Rabbitt, Sr.!

"Elvis wasn't soul!"
"Elvis is GOD!"

"Elvis was a Cajun..."
"That's fookin' blasphemy. Elvis wasn't Cajun!"

"I'll betcha U-2 are shittin' themselves..."

"Are you thinkin' of that reed as a woman's nipple?"

"What are you doing here?"
"Well, the line was so long, I thought you were sellin' drugs."

(Fun trivia learned from the special edition DVD--highly recommended, btw: the boy who tries to get inside the Rabbitt house to audition while Jimmy is taking a bath but refuses to sing in the street is actually the boy who is on the cover of U-2's album "War".)

Art Crawl!!!

That's right! I'd forgotten which Virgin Prunes' brother he was.

Was Guggi also the one that named Bono, Bono? Or was that Gavin?
