And don't you ever stand for that sort of thing. Someone ever tries to kill you, you try to kill 'em right back! ... You got the right same as anyone to live and try to kill people.

Buffista Movies 3: Panned and Scanned

A place to talk about movies--Old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Constantine primer.

I'm putting it here instead of in Jossverse, because the site pitches it as "more than you ever needed to know about the real Constantine -- before Keanu messes it up for you."

Apart from sports, "my secret favorite thing on earth is ketchup. I will put ketchup on anything. But it has to be Heinz." - my husband, Michael Vartan

I just watched a movie called "Dear Frankie." It was good, and I liked it, though I had a few issues with some things. One thing I had no issue with was Gerard Butler. I just wanted to hug him and not let go.

A great interview with Don Cheadle: [link]

On The Magical Black Person:

"Although, there is a tendency with black characters in movies that they're either like the noble savage where they are everything and they can't make a mistake and they usually don't have a family or a love interest and they're perfect in every way and solve all the problems. They're the soul of the movie, they're the heart of the film.

"That shit kills me. 'Oh, he's the heart of the film!' Like, I don't want to do it. I don't need to be the heart of the film. I want to be the balls of the film."

If I didn't already adore him ...

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Just finally saw Hotel Rwanda last night and he really was very good. Also I would think "hey, look at the hottie!" and then I would remember I was watching a movie about genocide and perhaps I should not be thinking about whether or not the main character was attractive.
