Damn it! You know what? I'm sick of this crap. I'm sick of being the guy who eats insects and gets the funny syphilis. As of this moment, it's over. I'm finished being everybody's butt monkey!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

At least Orli has played more than one character.

I can go as far as agreeing he's played characters with different hair ...

Okay, I kid because I love. I just hope his agent is the highest paid in the industry. He's fucking genius.

If I only had a brain...

According to that list, Keira Knightley is the only female movie star.

Yes, but so far she's been baggage in other people's movies (A KNIGHT'S TALE, KING ARTHUR) and franchise movies (PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN).

She wasn't in A Knight's Tale, and I bet Bend It Like Beckham made a huge relative profit.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Seriously. Bloom the only Rings person at the Oscars (presenting, no less!)? Incredible.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Also Love, Actually (which I wouldn't call another person's movie, exactly, but it definitely wasn't hers). We'll have to see how well she does with Pride and Prejudice.

[edit:

Bend It Like Beckham

Ah! Forgot about that one.]

I am sooo embarrassed. That was Shannyn Sossamon.

However, I shall hastily rebound to claim that any actor who can be mistaken for another actor is not a Star. Of course, this wipes out Kirsten Dunst and Reese Witherspoon, but I'm good with that.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Keira Knightly is a hot property, but not a star. Cruise can get a movie made just by agreeing to be in it. That's a true star (to the Studios--not to me. I think he's blah). They greenlight his pictures because people will go to a "Tom Cruise" movie here and in Europe and Latin America. He is the deciding factor--not the plot or genre or director.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I can go as far as agreeing he's played characters with different hair ...

Hair AND EYES.

Did you go to the Halle Berry School of Accepting Responsibility?

Which makes me think ... why isn't Denzel a star? My brain keeps telling me he's one (never mind what my loins are saying), but box office just doesn't match up.

Yes. It was all my agent's fault.
