Buffy? I like that. That girl's so hot, she's buffy.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I remember watching that and thinking "Poor Raoul's character. In any other movie, your leading man good looks and common sense would mean that you'd be half of the surviving couple. But this being an Alien sequel, you'll be the last to die, poignantly so as to give the kickass female lead extra motivation when she saves the day."

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I heard last night that Nick Nolte was he reason that the film got financed. His company raised money and took no credit. He didn't want to act in it but the money folks insisted and he really believed in he project so that's why he's in it. Makes me respect his performance more.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Who did Nick Nolte play, the Alien or the Predator?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Who did Nick Nolte play, the Alien or the Predator?

He played a half-alien/half-predator, who had to decide if he wanted to follow the alien way of life or honor his predator heritage. Much like Spock when he was a boy.

See, that just gives me a very jarring image of aliens with caesar cuts and pointy eyebrows running around calling people "motherfucker" and then skinning them.

Apart from sports, "my secret favorite thing on earth is ketchup. I will put ketchup on anything. But it has to be Heinz." - my husband, Michael Vartan

I had a teacher who used Alien vs. Predator as a positive example about certain universal themes in works of entertainment, going back to the Greeks. It was funny. And he mentioned it so often that I really felt kind of obliged to see it.

I didn't, though. So, um, my loss.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Okay, the trailer linked to here is officially a Great Trailer. Hee!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I saw the trailer with no footage from the movie in the cinema yesterday. It certainly made it feel reassuring for those who worry that the movie may lose touch with the HHGTTG low budget roots.

This one? So much better.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Stephen Fry and Alan Rickman are so perfectly cast. I love it.
