I saw the trailer with no footage from the movie in the cinema yesterday. It certainly made it feel reassuring for those who worry that the movie may lose touch with the HHGTTG low budget roots.
This one? So much better.

A place to talk about movies--Old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Ha! That is fucking awesome. I love metahumor. Thanks, Katie!
goes to spread the news
P.S. You can see the falling sperm whale!!
Stephen Fry and Alan Rickman are so perfectly cast. I love it.
That trailer rocks so hard. It has everything: Zaphod, sperm whales, Vogons, explosions, and towels. I have serious hopes that this film does well, even for those who are HGttG newbies.
Sadly, I can't get that trailer to play for me.
The trailer played about ten seconds for me and then died.
eta: OK, saw the whole thing.
And, yay!!!
Gandalfe, did you download it onto your own computer?
HGttG game. It's text-based - remember them? [link]
Ooh, it's been updated. It's all shiny now.
I was terrible at that game, back in the day. I vaguely remember how to get out of the house, but after that, it's all a blur.

Tried to, but it wouldn't come down. Dunno if it's that I'm at work - I'll try at home.
