Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Odysseus on his Mediterranean Tour

Is there a T-shirt for that? I want a T-shirt for that.

Apart from sports, "my secret favorite thing on earth is ketchup. I will put ketchup on anything. But it has to be Heinz." - my husband, Michael Vartan

Thanks, sumi! What a great, succinct definition. I was having a hard time placing her, and now I don't need to look her up. Yay!

How to pick the Oscars.

Apart from sports, "my secret favorite thing on earth is ketchup. I will put ketchup on anything. But it has to be Heinz." - my husband, Michael Vartan

That Oscars list just makes me feel unprepared. Of the thirty big US releases, that would be extremely easy to see, I've seen seven: Hotel Rwanda, Shrek 2, Troy, The Aviator, The Incredibles, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Spider-Man 2.

Here's the list of 30, if anyone wants it. I think I fixed it so that there are no multiple entries:

"Being Julia"
"Maria Full of Grace"
"Kinsey"
"Closer"
"Before Sunset"
"The Motorcycle Diaries"
"Sideways"
"Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind"
"Vera Drake"
“Hotel Rwanda”
"Shark Tale"
"Shrek 2"
"House of Flying Daggers"
"The Phantom of the Opera"
"A Very Long Engagement"
"Collateral"
"Million Dollar Baby"
"Troy"
"The Sea Inside”
"Finding Neverland"
"Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events"
"The Passion of the Christ"
"The Village"
"The Aviator"
"The Incredibles"
"The Polar Express"
"Ray"
"Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban"
"I, Robot"
"Spider-Man 2"

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

What the fuck is up with remaking John Carpenter movies?

No doubt they'll remake Halloween next and this time it will show blood.

Then will come the remake of Escape from New York with The Rock as Plissken

Ann, that's a ferret.

Then will come the remake of Escape from New York with The Rock as Plissken

I was rather fond of the SNL version myself -- Escape from 'Escape from New York'.

And the sequel, Escape from 'New York, New York'.

Up with the sun

Ali, I've only seen eight movies from that list.

(For the curious, those are: "Closer"; "Before Sunset"; "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind"; "Ray"; "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" ; "The Village"; "The Incredibles"; and "Spider-Man 2.")

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

And, they were filming in Chicago?

Yeah. I accidentally stumbled across them filming one night in Lower Wacker Drive. I saw a Gotham City Police car parked there.
