Then will come the remake of Escape from New York with The Rock as Plissken
I was rather fond of the SNL version myself -- Escape from 'Escape from New York'.
And the sequel, Escape from 'New York, New York'.
A place to talk about movies--Old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Ali, I've only seen eight movies from that list.
(For the curious, those are: "Closer"; "Before Sunset"; "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind"; "Ray"; "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" ; "The Village"; "The Incredibles"; and "Spider-Man 2.")
And, they were filming in Chicago?
Yeah. I accidentally stumbled across them filming one night in Lower Wacker Drive. I saw a Gotham City Police car parked there.
I heard they had done some filming on the Amstutz Expressway, too. Which is really all it's good for (beyond teenagers finding out how fast their new cars can go), since it doesn't actually go much of anywhere.
What's that list of 30 refer to, exactly? I've seen all but 3 -- Polar Express, Being Julia, and The Village.
Here's one to look forward to: Howl's Moving Castle, Miyazaki's latest. It's everything you like about Miyazaki, and what an imagination the man has!
Speaking of Howl's Moving Castle, you can download a preview here: [link]
It's in Japanese (duh) with no subtitles, but what I can see of the animation looks gorgeous.
I saw a fan-sub about a week ago. It was wonderful. The original Japanese voices were wonderful. Why are we so allergic to subtitles?
