Wash: So, two days in a hospital? That's awful. Don't you just hate doctors? Simon: Hey. Wash: I mean, present company excluded. Jayne: Let's not be excluding people. That'd be rude.

Buffista Movies 3: Panned and Scanned

A place to talk about movies--Old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Apart from sports, "my secret favorite thing on earth is ketchup. I will put ketchup on anything. But it has to be Heinz." - my husband, Michael Vartan

I don't know Kiki's Delivery Service. What is it? And I can't get upset about Mulan II because Disney has a long tradition of doing straight to video sequels to their big animation movies.

And of those music videos the Constantine director did, I only recognize Britney's and Justin's, but I liked both of those. And in Justin's at least, there was definitely some insinuated darkness. There was only insinuated sex in Britney's. But it was insinuated very clearly. Both were very stylish, though.

But then again, I'm not familiar with Constantine, either.

Conservative, n. A statesman who is enamored of existing evils, as distinguished from the Liberal, who wishes to replace them with others. -Bierce

Kiki's delivery service is one of Hayao (Princess Mononoke/Spirited Away/Castle in the Sky) Miyazaki's films. I think it was the one before Mononoke, but it might have been before Castle too.

All this time, I thought Hunter was a bitch. Turns out she was just hungry.

But a live action Kiki? You realize this means a cgi or animatronic Jiji...

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Did anyone link to the Batman Begins Superbowl spot? Well, if so, watch it again. It's kewl.

I love the "Does it come in black?"

Does terrible things to my insides.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

ita, bless you for that link. I just watched all the trailers several times. They give me a happy.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You'd think, having just come from the site, I'd have the title of the movie right. You'd think, pasting the URL with it in, I'd have the title of the movie right.

Hell no. As far as I'm concerned, the movie's called "Does It Come In Black?" Getting as far as the alliteration was a huge effort.

This deserves a serial, not an edit:

I don't care what it's about. That's my next husband, right there.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

ita, I probably wouldn't have noticed if Batman Beyond weren't a thing of its own.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

The accent is throwing me. I love Bale's voice, and I'm going to have to hear a lot more of the voice with a US accent to get used to it.

Huh. I may have to see this movie more than once. What d'you think?
