Mario and Melvin Van Peebles are top notch draws, compared to, say, Richard Grieco and Tangi Miller (sorry, Tangi).
Which is to say, I think Sci Fi has an unparalleled ability to cast people who aren't that well-acquainted with the big screen into movies whose plots aren't well acquainted with narrative.
I think most of the things that Sci-Fi calls "original movies" are straight-to-video stinkers with the expletives bleeped or cut.

Or, if we're lucky, failed two hour pilots.
I need help mounting a whine campaign focused on what appears to be Netflix's disinterest in carrying Ultraviolet.
I've asked like 5 times. Tha loosaahs.
I bought the dvds because they are so slow about purchasing.
I mean, I requested, I bet you requested too beej. In fact, I'm sure more than a few people on this board requested -- but do they CARE?
Apparently, not.
I requested. I requested twice, at least.
How do you talk to Netflix? I haven't found a way to communicate, really. I'd like to let them know that I have slight issues with an estimated shipping of a week to get a DVD, after it took them a week to receive it. I mean, if they have to send me a DVD from another state, they should be able to just tell you that, and let you change your mind. I feel like I'm wasting a lot of time with just shipping issues, for some of these things.
Alibelle, I don't think there's an obvious signal of "we don't carry this disc at your local warehouse" -- you just have to guess based on how obscure the movie is. But there is a query/feedback email, hidden in the FAQ menu.
I bitched at them just 2 weeks ago, about how, after Christmas, it suddenly took 2+ business days to ship anything at all to us, when before Christmas it had been usually same day. They sent me a fairly standard reply, but the shipping is faster again.

Well, the dvd's in question were the Alias season two ones. I didn't think they'd be so obscure I would need to have them mailed from Flushing, NY to LA.
But cool. I'll go find that link.
