Well, if we followed the recipe...should be cake. A demon-violence-free-zone cake.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

They shortened the lightning sand scene, when they're underground.

Man, that sucks.

Matt, I liked The Matchmaker, as well. Denis Leary and Janeane Garafalo getting hooked up? Snarktastic. It's not great cinema, but it's pleasant fluff.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Huh. I remembered it as her getting hooked up with the Irish guy that was all mocking toward her at first.

D'oh. You're right. My bad.

Up with the sun

Your top five favorite Bill Murray performances.

If you don't have five favorite Bill Murray performances, get the hell out of this thread

1. Groundhog Day
2. Lost in Translation
3. Ed Wood
4. ....
5. ....

(I liked Royal Tenenbaums, but don't especially remember his performance in it. Violently hated Rushmore. Saw Ghostbusters too long ago to have any accurate critical assessment of his performance. Can't think of anything else I've seen him in offhand.)

*stubbornly stays in thread anyhow*

I have a plan.

Your top five favorite Bill Murray performances.

In no particular order. Because you can't order these things around.

1: Stripes

B: LiT

Green: Groundhog Day

Plaid: Ghostbusters

Dog: Hard to choose between Meatballs and Caddyshack

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

1: Strips

I like this typo, but I'm picturing a cross between Stripes and Showgirls, and it's kind of giving me brain trauma.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Watched Wild Things last night, and it was surprisingly enjoyable, but Bill Murray=not a very believable trial attorney. Made a great ambulance-chaser, though.

Would one elevate the other, or destroy it?

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I like this typo, but I'm picturing a cross between Stripes and Showgirls, and it's kind of giving me brain trauma.

Images of Sgt. Hulka and John Candy recreating the pool scene from Showgirls dancing in his head now

Ugh.

Although Gina Gershon in the mud wrestling scene would be OK.

smacks forehead I completely forgot about that one - another primo supporting role; on par with Ed Wood. The film was so blatantly OTT that I didn't even try to believe anything, just enjoy the ride.

bon bon, did you watch all the way through the end credits? I thought that was a stroke of genius.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

You know, telling Alibelle she'll get it when she's older is about as respectful as "Oh, you'll get fat when you're thirty, though." (to which I should have replied "Like you? Will I also get bitter and vindictive? Yay!" But I didn't. Still, being in good shape works fine as revenge so far.)

Well, I wasn't respectful to Allibelle, but I wasn't that serious in my assertion that she'll benefit from added bitterness.

Other people have cooler Bill Murray lists, in part because I neglected all of his spectacular supporting roles in Ed Wood, Tootsie ("You slut!"), Little Shop of Horrors, Wild Things etc.
