Thanks P.M.

Bad Boys I & II are pretty much only good for the Will-shirtless.

I saw II specifically because I caught a glimpse of Henry Rollins in the preview.

They should TELL you when that glimpse is all your gonna get for the whole damn movie.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

They should TELL you when that glimpse is all your gonna get for the whole damn movie.

cf. Julia Stiles in The Bourne Identity.

Now I'm morbid, but amused.

I live to please. Especially you.

She's back again in Supremacy.

I don't know if it's rentable, but the gigantic Criterion edition of Brazil has a wonderful commentary by Gilliam. He gets entertainingly ranty.

It's weird how we're so critical of Hollywood blockbusters when they don't make sense but movies like this get a free pass.

There's a difference between movies that reward rewatching because the action is complicated or dense, and movies where rewatching just makes you notice even more appalling nonsense. I suppose it's a matter of whether I feel like the creators knew what was happening and why, instead of having the strong impression that they didn't give a damn.

I have a plan.

I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near Tannhauser gate.

Is this a discussion about classicly good sci fi films?

Cause this quote really throws me into nostalgia mode for 'Soldier'.

Thomash and I are both rather fond of this one - Kurt Russell playing a lead character who has all of three lines... Jason Isaacs... half the nursing staff from ER...

19.

IIRC, we counted.

We also drank. Heavily.

Snuck a flask into the theatre, had a DD, and had a merry good time.

I think our pal Bri said nothing but "Sir, yes Sir!" for the next four hours.

I'm watching The Limey right now. I am large with the Soderbergh love, and this movie is one of the reasons why.

Oh, MAN, I love that movie.

Even with the weird moment where I start to wonder if someone on the production knew my parents or something.
