And despite what anyone thinks, I'm still looking forward to Keanu in Constantine.
I, too have hope. Which will certainly turn into bitterness.
A place to talk about movies--Old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

This happens to me so often it's become part of the movie-watching experience. Okay, I've got the popcorn, fountain soda, hope that will turn into bitterness. Roll the trailers.
I can't not watch Footloose, ever. Footloose was why I bought my first TV, just in case someone was broadcasting it within reach.

Filmed in the region I now call home. It was the talk of the area when I moved out here. ita, have you ever noticed the guy sleeping in church and the council meeting? That's my Hubby.
Haven't seen Brotherhood of the Wolf.
I'm very bleh on Underworld. The only good things I can say about are Kate Beckinsale=hot and I was immensely satisfied when the vampire dual-wielding bullwhips got his face eaten for his stupidity.
As for Van Helsing all I'm left with is Kate Beckinsale=hot.

NO WAY!!! I watched Footloose every time it was on cable in the 80s. I knew the damn thing by heart, and I loves it so because, like Dirty Dancing, it proves that Dance Saves The Day!
Kalshane, every time we see that vampire in that scene, it reminds of the scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark which was supposed to be a duel. Only Ford was deathly ill and just pulled out his pistol and shot the guy.

Ha! Next time it grabs me in its insane thrall, I'll look out for him.
I loved Brotherhood of the Wolf. For most of it, I was just enjoying the pretty, but somewhere in the last half-hour, the story started to really click for me, and by the end, I was just really happy to have watched it.
(And of course, I can't talk about this film without mentioning that it contains one of my favorite matchs cut of all time, second only to 2001's "CHECK OUT MANKIND'S AWESOME TOOLS!" moment.)

Which actually brings up another category of movie: good movies you've seen umpteen times that you have to watch if you come across them while surfing.
Groundhog Day was my number one for a long time, but it hasn't been where I've been surfing so much lately.
Also, The Freshman often caught me trying to go by it.
