Yep. Pretty consistently funny....
Buffista Movies 3: Panned and Scanned
A place to talk about movies--Old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

We crop up in the oddest places, don't we?
AKA: tv geekness runs strong in the Buffistas.
Don't forget he was The Evil Fuckaire in The Corsican Brothers. His "and so you shall!" line was the funniest moment in that entire movie.
"The Day After" was filmed in and around Lawrence, Kansas, including the KU campus. It's one of the most batted-about facts around here, including that Don Johnson attended KU (and dropped out).
I saw Kinsey tonight (out on my 3rd date with cute former Army guy). Quite good, although I agree with the reviewers that it might have been better to use a younger actor as engagement/honeymoon-era Kinsey. Laura Linney was great, as were Peter Skaarsgard and Lynn Redgrave. The frank treatment of the subject matter and of Kinsey's own sex life were refreshing. (Yes, A Beautiful Mind, I'm looking at you...)
Last night Sue and I went to see Vera Drake. Not exactly a happy pre-Christmas, happy go lucky, got the yucks kind of film, but lovely nonetheless. The actress who played Vera was so very good.
The question I was left with at the end was what about Lily? She took 2 guineas from the women and then sold food and tea to Vera further increasing her profit. She was much more evil in my estimation.
I know that there were some Saved fans kicking around here. Does anyone know the song playing though the last scene off the top of their head? Only line I remember is "let's watch the flowers grow". I know I've heard it a zillion places before, too.
