I may be wrong, but my understanding is that Death is physically modeled on two people -- a random waitress and a friend of the artist. I don't know if her personality is based on anyone in particular.
Delirium is somewhat modeled on Amos, which you (or at least I) can see really well in some panels of "Brief Lives." Though even that isn't really true.

Though who drew Brief Lives? I knew one of the artists who worked on Sandman at one point (I forget exactly where), and he was a HUGE Tori fan.

What Jesse said. In one of the comics, both appear to a traveler in one of the soft places, (not at the same time) and they look quite alike to me, to the point where I didn't understand that element of the story until I reread it.

I just looked it up on Amazon, and sure enough, Vince Locke (my friend back in Michigan) was one of the artists for Brief Lives.

Yeah, the character's not, but some of the panels and some of the later text is, though my recollection at this point about this point is over a decade old. Gaiman and Amos didn't meet and become friends until after she recorded Tear in Your Hand, which was what, 1991?
What was the general impression of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind in the house? (We watched, thought it was okay, and that Kate Winslet was very pretty in a Jessica like way, but failed to connect to the characters enough to care about them.)
I really liked Eternal Sunshine. Even though the main characters weren't people I'd particularly like to know, I sympathized with the arc of their connection and the movie's message about way that your memories shape your relationships.
